today is save the animals day for me!



just sent out a huge number of emails to all my contacts about signing a pledge to help persuade govts all over the world to stop illegal trade. hotmail even said, i've already sent the maximum number of emails i can send per day and now i have to wait till the day is over before i can send out the last remaining emails. well, anywho, at least i felt good for doing that.



so i've been reading wildaid.org and i've got information to share!

just take a look at these numbers:



- Black rhino populations fell from 60,000 in 1970 to 2,500 in 1990 as poachers targeted their horns.


-African elephant numbers fell from 1,200,000 in 1970 to 600,000 in 1989 as a result of the trade in ivory.


-The Spix macaw is believed to be extinct in the wild. Most of the last individuals were trapped illegally for collectors.


-There are believed to be fewer than 50,000 Asian elephants left in the wild.


-World sturgeon catches for caviar declined from nearly 28,000 to 8,140 tons between 1982 and 1994.


-An estimated 100 million sharks, skates and rays are caught every year.


-There may be fewer than 5,000 tigers surviving in the wild.



There you have it. these are all the wake-up calls i think we should be getting everyday. and its terrible. 2,500 black rhinos left in the wild? and 5,000 tigers? like WHAT THE??? do we even get to eat their meat???!!!NO, we just kill them for their horns, fur, claws and whatever parts you can almost find on a human. this was really shocking. i really hope help comes just in time. this world is going bonkers...

In Japan, a group of surfers tried to stay with a pod of pilot whales (they were captured in a cove) in the water, while they were killed by the local fishermen. you can even see the blood in the water, its really sick to see people do these kinda things. no morals really.

im going to bed, too tired.

i really want to save my animals. but i just wish everyone feels the same way.

i've been to church three times this week!
sweet and holy huh?haha!

chinese new year this year was normal but i think this rat year might be quite inauspicious for me because:

1. i broke the rule of no cursing and swearing at 7.45am on new year's day.
i had to be in church at 8am and i was still at home at 7.45am, like what the?
was really mad at the parents for assuming that i could run like the wind at 7.45am. haha!

2. my family and i saw an injured bird, tried to save it and after putting it into a box, it died on us.

3. yelled at mommy angrily in public. oops.

so, this first day wasn't that good. i told my sis the only rule that i will never break on new year's day is sweeping the floor, because i'm too lazy to even look at a broom! haha!

ok, i dont remember the second day going too badly.
had a reunion dinner at my aunt's.

had alot of fun taking pictures with the little cousins.




watched the gamblers gamble their money away.


ate melon seeds and tonnes and tonnes of sweets.

and the lion dance troupe came to the house to hop around. was really funny cause the guy holding the lion's head wore nike shoes and it was hilarious looking at a lion wearing nike!


and then it was filling the tummy time.
not bad the second day.

third day of new yr is no more visiting day! YAY!
woke up, watched tv, ate lunch, read my golden compass and went back to sleep. can't help it if i was too used to the pig year. so then went to church for the third time in a week! record-setter eh? ok, here comes the best part of my new year!

on my way back home, my sis spotted something soooooo inauspicious, i think we're going to have bad luck. we saw a dead rat! poor rat had to die on the third day of their dominating year.

so, that sums up the three days. ohoh, and i forgot to mention that we had a mr orange comes to visit day too. haha! here are some pics to show you why!

now let me predict what will happen on the fourth day:

i will go to ikea and have meatballs!!YUMMY YUMMY!

hello hello.

i just watched part of my jay chou's 2004 concert.

and here's what it takes to make me little heart melt like ben & jerry's in the zoo.
a piano, a flute, cute yellow baggy clothes, a charming turqoise jacket and a damn good song.
that's all i need.

change of song. loving it.

hello babies, its been a long time since i wrote!

ok..new year shopping..went alrightey well.
and guess what?
im such a sucker for shoes!i bought new shoes!!haha!
my sis was getting her converse yesterday yeah, and i saw another same pair of converse just a different colour and i just couldnt resist it. hello grey converse! thank god i didnt get a nike pair the other day. haha..

and jay chou!
as usual, i had my jap lesson at bugis today. and yesterday, ming yi told me jay chou was coming to bugis today. haha! so happy! i wouldnt have been there if she didnt told me. so..got a few pics and had fun in the drizzle.tip-toeing all the way because all the tall people loveeeeeee to stand all the way in front. jay chou is sooooooooo cute!

and if that werent enough, i got myself the jay chou concert dvd. haha..and came straight to my comp to watch it once i was home. was alrightttt..not as excellent as his previous one though. thats a bit sad. concentrating too much on your movies now huh, jay. well, as long as he remains in the entertainment where he belongs.haha! cant wait to watch his kungfu dunk, looks soooo good!reckon im going to sleep well tonight since i've had a nice half a day with jay chou!ahaha! im obsessed and i love it.

school! tomorrow! hopefully i can finish up what i have to finish up in school. but i cant wait for chinese new year!! weds, thurs, fri, sat, sun! omg!! im going to have so much fun sleeping!haha!
